چکیده
Background: Human beta-defensins (HBDs), epithelial-derived antimicrobial peptides, contribute to gingival health and periodontal disease. Particularly, the upregulation of HBD-3 expression in tissues is described tissue regeneration. Specifically, But there has been insufficient investigation inner epithelium peri-implantitis, especially HBD patterns as protection against oral infection. Objectives: The purpose this study was investigate histopathological characteristics implant peri-implantitis using immunohistochemical methods compare it with marginal periodontitis. Materials Methods: biopsied cases consisted 10 11 periodontitis, controls. HE observation, measurement thickness epithelium, analysis for Ki-67 were conducted. Results: Concerning significantly higher periodontitis (156.2 [138.0, 186.4] μm) than control, 70.7 [67.5, 97.5] μm 80.7 [76.6, 89.4] μm, respectively (p < 0.001). positivity rates, both outer following order: control elevated case For HBD-3, intensity region score (IRS) (superficial layer) 0.001) all cases. comparisons IRS, values seen that Conclusion: Decreased production keratinocytes composing may be one factors affecting repair peri-implantitis.

متن کاملA Histopathological, Immunohistochemical and Molecular Study of Cutaneous Bovine Papillomatosis
In animals and man, some forms of cutaneous papillomas are caused by papillomaviruses. Twelve different genotypes of bovine papillomavirus (BPV) have been identified. BPV-1 through BPV-12 are all strictly species-specific. BPV-1 and BPV-2 are associated with fibropapillomas in cattle; these tumors are formed by excessive proliferation of virus-infected dermal fibroblasts and epidermal keratinoc...
